What Is Checked During The Inspection?
During the multi-point inspection, our certified technicians carefully look over the vehicle and follow a detailed checklist to ensure that it meets all the needed criteria. No stone is left unturned during this inspection. You can leave our dealership with peace of mind knowing your new purchase is safe, up to date, and ready to hit the road!
The checklist includes things like:
- Driving the vehicle to ensure that the engine, transmission, steering, HVA, stability, and other items are in working order.
- Making sure things like the child safety locks, fuel door, key fobs, and seat belt retractors work properly.
- Checking the brake, cooling, fuel, and power steering systems.
- Topping off or changing the power steering, transmission, windshield, and brake fluids along with the engine coolant.
- Replacing any brake calipers, rotors/drums, hydraulic lines, control arms, shock absorbers/struts/air suspension, engine/transmission mounts, axles/differentials, or other parts under the vehicle that need repaired.
- Evaluating all interior components such as lightning, seating, trim/controls, audio/video, and other miscellaneous areas for functionality and condition.
- Confirming that all the glass, lights, body panels, and wheels are clean and damage free.
- Inspecting the brakes, wipers, belts, hoses/clamps, battery, and air/cabin filter.

AS IS
NO WARRANTY implied or otherwise noted and any known defects must be disclosed on the vehicle contract.
Vehicle must meet at least one of the following West Virginia Guidelines:
- Sold for less than $4,000
- Vehicle has been driven more than 100,000 miles at the time sold
- Vehicle is 7 years of age or older as calculated from January 1 of the designated model year of the vehicle
Customers are highly encouraged to take the vehicle to a reputable mechanic, evaluate the vehicle themselves, and get a second opinion. All AS IS vehicles are sold with known issues disclosed prior to purchase. However, the vehicles are sold as is/ as traded + taxes and fees under West Virginia Code §46A-6-107a. Buyers are encouraged to review the vehicle at their discretion. All known cosmetic and/or mechanical issues are to be disclosed prior to purchase, but Harry Green Automotive [Chevrolet, Nissan, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Pre-Owned] does not make repairs to these vehicles, nor have they been mechanically inspected, but they have been road tested. Individuals are clearly made aware of this at the time of purchase and are required to sign an AS IS vehicle disclaimer form. Under the WV law listed above, buyers have a three day window to cancel the sale “if the vehicle has a significant mechanical issue that can be reasonably inspected to have existed at the time of the sale”.
